# Introduction of a cash or offer-based currency called Bacon.

# Players will be able to buy Bacon with PayPal or credit cards, as well as to fulfill offers instead of paying real money.

# The only free-to-play tools now are going to be Level 1 tools. All other Tools/Upgrades/Abilities are called Perks, and they cost a combination of Datapoints and Bacon.

# Two new Perks, available to anyone regardless of Level or Class

* Overweight Canary (send it to a URL ahead of you to clear up to ten Mines from a site, or it will return to your arsenal)

* St. Nick Swatter (target yourself or another player and clear away up to five regular St Nicks and one single Ballistic St Nick)

# Pings will no longer exist. Player Lifetime Pings have been converted to Bacon.

# Instead of upgrading Tools via the overlays, players will buy Perks from the Shoppe. Each of the Perks has a button in the toolbar so that they're all one-click. To make room for this we moved a number of buttons and menus from the toolbar into the Gear menu.

# Abilities like Vengeance, Dodge, and Disarm will now be purchased per-charge from the Shoppe, these are essentially items now.

# New Perk: Saint Swatter will clear up to five regular St Nicks and one single Ballistic St Nick.

# Shoppe Purchase limit raised from 10 to 100.

@justin - Those "free" offers come with a nice amount of malware and spyware.

Surprise, surprise. I don't know if I will continue to play... and I hope I'll get my missing bacon. Have only the 150 starters but had over 3000 pings. Or doesn't that count in "players that are rich in pings"?

I'm leaving. Goodbye. This was just a casual thing while it lasted and I'm not in any way able to pay. I'm just a kid.

This is extremely disappointing.

This is unfortunate...I do not have cash laying around to spend on something like this. The 'free' offers are always dangerous and want credit card numbers and such. I'm rather sad because I have really enjoyed playing...

@sigmax I hear ya. I liked this "game" because it was *free.* I put up with the changes because the game was *free.* I'm not paying for this game. Nor am I going to do the same stupid "free offers" that the "fr33 ip0d" spammers use to get "bacon."

Yep, I understand that this game is costing gamelayers money. But I have a line I won't cross. I already pay for the internet; tnt was just a fun way to travel around it. I'm not paying extra for it.

So, I'm out too. I'll be dropping crates to folks who have made it fun. A few questions:

Can bacon be transferred to other accounts? What happens when I delete my account? Will all my dp cards, crates, missions, etc. be deleted as well?

What is puzzling and disappointing is that one moment this was a free, enjoyable game. The next moment, it becomes cash-based.

humm... offers..spreading my personal details all over the internets, i don't think so :)

nonetheless, i understand the game has to bring in money some way..only time will tell if this is the right way to do it i guess

Well, be real people. They couldn't continue as a non-profit forever. There had to be some way to make money for them in this.

Having said that...I'm not sure if I can afford to play either. Certainly not continue to play the way I have been. I'll have to scale back some.

Well..it looks as if you can still buy the regular stuff (armor, lightposts, st. nicks, crates, and portals) for just DP, but everything else is cash based.

The Pings to Bacon conversion was based on Lifetime Pings, for what it's worth.

To be honest. I doubt many people will have the money/disregard for personal details required to continue playing.

ITS CALLED ADVERTISEMENTS, EVERYBODY ON TNN COULD VIST THE SITES EVERYDAY AND TNN WOULD GET MONEY.
